EVENT CODE C8-3 TY 8FBET18

Hello friends,
We have Toyota 8FBET18 and it shows us the event code C8-3.
We do not have a technical manual for this model, only for 7fbcu and 7fbeu.
Thank!!

Switch the truck ON.

Its a SAS equipped Toyota counter balance so it must be switched ON when your jacking it!

Jack up the front & support the truck on suitable blocks.

Lift the forks Up & use a suitable mast prop to support the fork carriage / mast ( depending on mast spec )

There is a black pressed steel cover that protects the underside of the traction motors & hides the sensors - unbolt & remove this cover to gain access to the 4 x sensor.

All 4 sensors are the same part number.

C8-3 = Drive motor R/H speed sensor OPEN.

Jack the front & block the truck securely, remove the black inspection cover under the front that protects the traction motor speed sensors & check the speed sensors.

There are 2 x speed sensors on each of the traction motor, there all the same part number.

While the inspection cover is removed its worth removing all the sensors one by one & giving them a quick clean to remove dirt / debris from the sensor.

The inspection cover & sensors are also prone to impact damage when the truck is run over solid debris.
