Discussion:
error message; starter lockout truck disabled

I have a no start, no crank with the display saying error message; "starter lockout truck disabled" when the key is in the crank position.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I can get into the dash with the default service level password, but don't see any parameter out of whack.

Did you ever get this resolved? I have a similar problem, and if so what was the corrective action?

The world runs on Star Dust.
Hey Ed, your very knowledgeable. I would suggest calling the dealer to come in and update the software.
I had a truck once that wouldn't reset the code displayed and after I brought the dealer in with the laptop he explained the truck had old software in it and it wasn't supposed to reset after the problem was cured, the laptop had to be used. New software rectified this and allowed the code to clear upon repair of the circuit. It was for the work light relays.
I'm not saying this is your problem but something to think about.

All the best.

Fact of the week
The dot-com bubble, a period of large and rapid investments in internet-based companies, peaked in 2000 and saw the Nasdaq Composite index rise by 579%. Then the bubble imploded. As the value of tech stocks plummeted, cash-strapped internet start-ups became worthless and collapsed.
