Discussion:
Error codes E23,E28 and E30

Just started here about a month ago. I get thrown a P5000 LPG Cat lift. Now this thing has had pars changed and all kinds of stuff cone to find out, except actually being fixed by other mechanics. Has error codes E23,E28 and E30. Cranks and runs fine until it gets to operating temp. Then it shuts down and will not crank and run until it cools back off.
Thanks for any help what so ever

its been a bit since you posted this but i'll post some suggestions anyway in cause it has not been resolved yet.

couple of things come to mind with so many codes going off at once
- the relays in the relaybox, known to cause error codes , they have been updated to a newer relay, check with your cat dealer, they should be able to provide you with the correct ones.
- check the fuse box and make sure all the fuses are fulliy inserted into their sockets, they have been known to vibrate out over long periods of time.
- then of course check all your connectors on the ecm, make sure they are clean and reseal them with electric silicone. (you will have to clear codes because of disconnecting them when cleaning and sealing)
- check the ground point underneath the battery down beside the ecm, it's a standoff stud with several wires connected to it, remove the nut and wires and make sure there is no paint behind the connection on the frame, clean it off thoroughly and clean the wire terminals also. A bad ground connection can cause random error codes.

Fact of the week
Funerals in Spain typically occur within 24 to 48 hours of death, whereas in other European countries they wait one or more weeks. This rapid timeframe is a cultural norm grown from the past need to manage the warm climate without modern embalming.
