error code

customer has a 8FGCU15 with an intermittent shut off - no restart
showing an error code of ES-9 or E5-9
any help would be appreciated

FO-2 - EHPS Abnormality
Current flow in motor although TMPS is NOT on. Basically the unit is seeing current flow through the steer motor without the unit actually being on.

There is a fault somewhere in your steering system. There are numerous possibilities. Things to check:
Battery voltage
Key switch
Check the power steering wiring

The other checks require opening the PS Controller. Only a skilled technician should attempt it. 36/48 Volt forklifts are dangerous and severe shock can occur. Checking for voltage on wrong terminals can also fry your multi meter as well as the main forklift controller. Hope this helps...
