Discussion:
Error Code E18-1

Hi All,

I'm currently looking after a couple of toyota 02-8FDF25 forklifts.

I have a error code which pops up every now and again E18-1 which looks like it could be Engine speed sensor or Cam angle sensor. I don't have the service manual to point me in the right direction to start testing....

Does anybody have a pointers or common faults on these machines?

I've done the basic checks, plugs wiring etc but can't seem to find a fault?

All help very much appreciated

Hi mate,

Did you ever get to the bottom of this?

I'm lead to believe it relates to cam position sensor but that's on the 4Y and not on the diesels.

I've got similar issue on 62-8FD18, it broke a wire to the injector solenoid, wiring repaired but that random error now pops up, everything works fine but it's just annoying more than anything else.
