Discussion:
Error code 817 only get when frozen

I found that the resistor had a bad wire so I reattached it worked good for one day. Lift is in frozen environment 90% of the time and gets stuck when forks are on second mast and wont go up or down. When it thaws out though it will work for a couple hours. Error code 817 is not in my manual it skips from 816 to 818 so I dont even know what it means. I am thinking it is the encoder that needs to be replaced but I dont like just throwing money at something and hoping it will work.

(1) HGTRS2 is open when FLS is still closed. Check distance between HGTRS2 and mast, correct distance is.20 -.25 in.
(2) Is FLS open below staging? A2.7.4
(3) monitor HGTRS2 input. A2.4.2
(4) check voltage at CA411-4 on Access 4. 13.8v above freelift, 0v below freelift. Could be a bad mast cable

Fact of the week
The two internal cavities in our nose called nostrils function as separate organs. Each nostril has its own set of turbinates and olfactory receptors. The two independent organs work together through a mechanism called the nasal cycle, where one nostril is dominant for air intake while the other rests and is better at detecting scents.
