Discussion:
Error code 53

Hi all
I was hoping someone could help me with any of the following.
Service manual
Operators manual
Parts list.
And more importantly error 53.
This is intermittent but once it's on usually stops everything. Sometimes a flick of the levers gets it to go away, as does unplugging the battery.
Sometimes the hydraulic motor keeps spinning even when no action is being taken.
Frequently it comes on at start up, other times after using the mast.
Any ideas, I would also appreciate a full error code list if anyone has one.
Thanks

Showing items 1 - 4 of 4 results.
I did yes, i bought one, think it was digital. I can not remember where from.
Potentially i could let you have a copy for what i paid, if i can find the digital copy.
Or if you have a specific problem i can look for the answer.

I am inclined to beleive that this is a hydraulic pump problem.
When the pump runs for no good purpose it sounds like there is air in the fluid, ie noisy fluid movement.
I think if I get no answers my first move is to check all filters. I mostly suspect that there is a pickup problem, a partially blocked suction filter.
Biggest problem with that is this machine is new to us. Never had a Komatsu before so some info on where they all are would be appreciated. I don't want to pull apart areas where there are no filters.
I would rather not disturb anything I don't have to untill it's working with no errors......
