Discussion:
Error code 10

We have a CAT model EP16KT, Serial ETB4B01390. With the electric unit in either FWD or REV, unit will start to move for 2 - 3 seconds and then the electrics kick out and ERROR CODE "10" appears in the display. Can be switched off to clear the code, but will reappear as soon as the unit is placed in FWD or REV and accelerator depresses. Hydraulics for lift / tilt / side shift seem unaffected. We don't have user manual with error codes. Any ideas?

The code is a right drive motor armature error. I would start by inspecting the drive motors condition as well as motor wiring to the control panel. You could have a failed diode, transistor, drive board etc. You need a manual on these trucks as they require an advanced level of component testing. These trucks have common failures of transistors and diodes. When you have a transistor failure it damages the drive board.

In 1923, French tennis player René Lacoste was promised a crocodile leather suitcase by his captain if he won his next match. He lost the match but won the nickname "the crocodile" which he had sown onto his tennis attire. Ten years later he launched the first polo shirt and Lacoste, the first brand to feature a logo on its clothing.
