Crown WAVE60-118:
Error 261

Hello,
tomorrow I will work on Crown WAV60 for the first time.
I don't have any technical docs about it. Does it still have Curtis controller?

Active error is 261. Can you send me error description?

It also had errors 221 and 412 before, but it worked.
Can you send me description of these errors?

You're spot on for this one Techno_nz. It was a broken wire in mast cable.
I managed to use one "not-used" wire so it works now but the customer should get new cable of the warranty. The machine is only three months old and has 26 hours.

Overall, I'm not sure that I like how WAV60 wiring is built and routed.
Somehow it looks like a step back from WAV50 to me.

No, it has Crown Access 1/2/3 system. No handset required, which is good. check your email. Regards 412, there are two encoders per drive motor. One is connected to Access 4 in the platform, one to Access 2/3 in the base. The access units talk to each other over CAN and compare the encoder readings, any variation and unit stops. Unfortunately there is an issue with WAV60 mast cables, there is a bulletin available regarding the issue (cable cores break or go high resistance). Have had probably 10 WAV60's with this issue and encoder count mismatch or other CAN issues. Some with less than 100hrs use.
