Wires are OK
As when I measured the current was 48 v
If harness pb should not give 48v
I checked the seat switch on another forklift and was working
I have doubt. Could be the return wire to the dashboard or the controller itself

when you say you "checked" the switch, where did you do that? go as close to controller as possible and jumper the wires. Most issues are the harness itself, where it folds under seat

Fact of the week
In 1898, author Morgan Robertson wrote a novel called 'Futility', which described an "unsinkable" ship named the Titan that sank after hitting an iceberg. Fourteen years later, the Titanic sank in a strikingly similar fashion.
