So if I remove them, do I just disconnect the sensors like cut the wires and that's it? It won't show the code nor sound the alarm?

Hello, So if I remove it from the truck it will no longer show the code 8A and not affect truck performance? I can see there are 4 sensors. 2 on each side and can be accessed with allen screws.

You'll have to call the local dealer and explain what you want done. Laptop and passkey needed for this, dealer only.

Stam,
I found the entrance sensors. Even though you directed me to the location, they were hard to find. I cleaned them but no luck. Can I short them somehow or turn them off? Thank you

right where you enter the truck they are there. where the paint turns from red to black. photo cells pointing across operator compartment so if there leg or ankle is sticking out the truck goes slow and beeps.

Can anyone give me the location of the entrance beam. I can't find the sensor to clean it. I have a maintenance manual i found it in a schematic but it does not give the location. I have visually inspected but cannot find it. Any help please. This thing is useless without cleaning or removing it. Raymond Easi40.

The photo eyes get dirty sometimes.
I think I understand your question... yes it can be removed from the truck it is optional equipment usually only sold to Home Depot.
