Linde (& Baker) H50D:
engine runs at one speed

the lift operates fine but always stays at one RPM speed. drives only at one speed and when using the hydraulics the engine doesn't rev up at all. no codes coming out on display. tried adjusting the speed sensor and got the lightning bolt and trouble code 245 to apear. so we adjusted the sensor back to comfirm it was working. any ideas ???

doubt its anything to do with the ring gear

since he ruled out the speed sensor i would be checking the pressures from the pump since these units are mostly hydrostatic drive type systems

also check the linkage on the accelerator and the accelerator pot.
If correctly adjusted you should get these readings:
- Pedal full travel in forwards direction: 4.1V
- Pedal full travel in backwards direction: 0.9V

now depending on the model and year some of these units ran at only one engine rpm when drive is activated or the hydraulic levers were pulled if i remember correctly.
I would check the pedal position sensor and also the accelerator solenoid actuator.
Got a full model number to go with that serial number?

Its possible the swash plate has been reset to a slower speed, need a lap top to check.

Missing/worn teeth can cause a miss count on the speed sensor which causes the engine to run at one speed

going to need more than just that generic model number
need the whole model number and whole serial number to get accurate info so we can help you.

Newer models usually have an 02 or 03 , some digits after the H50D part

and the serial contains the series number we'll need
