I received this code on a Toyota 8FGCU25. I disconnected the plug to the air fuel ratio control while truck was running and it did not change state. If you disconnect the other plugs while running the truck idles rough or dies. I tested the voltage at the plug 1-2, 2-3 and 4-5, 5-6. I am getting 12v to the plug. I was told that these controllers don't go bad, but it all seems to lead to the controller. I guess I'm looking for a second opinion or confirming the problem. It's a $400 part and want to be sure.

I've had the same problem in the past on this model. last year I changed the valve and embarassingly it made no difference. I opened the harness back to the controller and found a broken wire half way along the engine by a harness bracket. this seems to have solved the intermittent problem. Let us know what you find on yours. Don't give up!
No unfortunately I called toyota and they did not even give me much direction to go in. I'll ohm it out and get back south ya. I assumed it was the motor ad everything else works fine. If you disconnect the plug from the motor, nothing changes.
You may have a faulty air fuel ratio control motor. Have you tried to ohm it out? 2-1, 3 should be 15 to 25 ohm cold or 20 to 30 ohm hot and 5-4, 6 should have the same readings.
