Discussion:
Drive wheels turning in opposite directions

I recently had to replace the bearings on the rear steering axle on a Toyota Forklift Model 7FBEU15. Which required me to remove the steering sensor and drop the axle. Upon putting everything back together I noticed that the front drive wheels when activated are turning in opposite directions. Does anyone know why and or how I can fix this problem. I believe it to be a matter of reprogramming the forklift through the display functions menu, but have no clue what program/function mode I need to modify to correct this issue. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

You didnt put back the steer sensor exactly where it was. The truck thinks the steering is turned all the way in one direction. On a tight turn, ANY 3 wheel counterbalance truck will have one wheel in reverse and other full forward.
Without any laptop or scanner, you can get it close. Raise front wheels off ground and put stands or blocks under truck. Center your steer wheel as straight as you can. Engage forward and have throttle giving full fwd. Seperate the steer senser from hub, then Adjust the steer senser by turning it until both whhels are going fwd, at max rpm.
