Crown WP-3000 - Code 853 only in forward

Hi All!

Had to replace the handle up/down microswitches and I'm now getting code 853 when I try to go forward. Works fine in reverse direction. I checked all the knuckle wires and fuses. Any ideas why this error only pops up when going forward? (Code pops right away when going forward.... never in reverse)

Thanks in advance!

R&R Forward/Reverse pot, get with Crown dealer and get OE Parts. New OE kits come with a set of plastic bushings for the controls to ensure pot does not exceed limits. Make sure when you install test the repair by operating like an operator would and push/pull the throttle control as hard as you can. If you have access to the Curtis handheld you should clear the codes so you can see if the event code returns, if issue persists you may have to flash the new X10 handle software to the Access module through the Crown software if you have access or may have to call Crown in.

Hello, if the error appeared after having made the repair, I would disassemble it again and check the position of the throttle potentiometer or if it has microswitches, check that they are not activated.
The error may be due to a potentiometer being out of range, which is not calibrated. You'll have to check that, as long as the error wasn't present before you took everything apart.
