I have talked to a couple of Crown techs since I made this post and they seem to be in the no comment mindset. I know them very well , they know what they are doing. I do not want to sound like I am throwing them under the bus ,but they do not like working on them.
Anyone have a problem paying $50.00 US per Spark Plug? Not sure the John Deere LP Engine is going to be cost effective in the long run!
Quiet a few in the UK Well built if a little on the large size and a little noisy. We had problems with the head gaskets failing at first but a new cylinder head and ungraded gasket seems to have cured this. The brakes can be a pain and expensive to fix when they go down, trans and axle's seem fairly bomb proof for a first attempt at an ic machine Crown seem to have done a good job its a match for an Hyster FT or the later Toyota's definitely better than a Mitsi/Cat or Unicarrier/Nissan
i'd be willing to say 'no news is good news'
but then again trainer makes a point...
if there are not enough of them out on the market yet it might be hard to get a feel of how they really are doing.
triumphrider,
By lack of responses your answer is given.
They do not have enough of them in the field to provide accurate data on how well or no so well they are doing with this product.
If a range of where it lands was bad, not horrible, no comment, ok, good, better, best...
IMHO would say somewhere between no comment and ok.
Think about it triumphrider, as strong company in the electric market (Crown) brings out a IC forklift there is bound to be growth (0 to 1% is saying something)
But at what cost and to what true benefit?
Lets see if this comment brings out some responses.....
(my intention in the first place)
