Discussion:
Coil cables and spring driven cable reels

To connect the video/power signal from the mast to the fork carriage we are considering a coil cable vs a spring type cable reel. We prefer not to go wireless video due to wireless network in the building. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

there are many types of wireless that will not interfere with each other, and even if it is the same type of wireless they should not be likely to interfere. how many conductors and how much lift makes a bunch of difference in the choice of reel -vs- coiled.
these days, I think I would go with wireless (most likely Blue-tooth) if I was designing it from scratch or "off the shelf".
