I would agree with all comments but would say that the
C300 Series was the worst Clark ever built. The C300Y40
and 50 was even worse than the cushions.
The new electric TMX and EPX series AC100% look to be very good. The Genesis2 with the Yanmar 16 valve deasil engine are also above average.
you did not stipulate gas ,diesel or electric- on the whole clark is a poor truck however if you must the electric 3 wheeler the TM - 15 is by far the safest bet i have fixed em all
From what I have seen and heard, the GCS series that ends with a MC is no good. It was a enclosed wet braking system that when broken, was a nightmare to fix and very costly. The other "rumor" is that the Korean built, Samsung forklifts private labeled for Clark will have longevity issue's. They were built no to last, just for quick operations on no more than 4 years.
The real Clark Forklift was the C-500 series from the 70's to early 80's and sold in great numbers, this series was responsible for establishing Clark as the leading forklift manufacturer in North America. Tough to work on and always minor oil leaks (somewhat like the Harley Davidson motorcycle) this forklift was always very dependable and strong. Thery are still out there in the used forklift market, but are now showing their age.
From my knowledge, its the Clark models made in Korea which had a brake problem, and yield a poor used value
ANY G SERIES, THESE MACHINES SENT CLARK INTO BANKRUPTCY WITH WARRANTY ISSUES.
