Clark C-500-Y-50 Operators and Service Manual needed

Anyone know of any used manuals for sale? Late 70's Clark Serial number Y355-359-4181. Closest dealer is 80 miles away and they are not very friendly to private individuals.

Thanks,
Greg

Try giving these guys a call they have the Clark dealer ship on the west side of the state. I have dealt with their branches in Ohio and they have been very helpful.

Hi John,

Thank you for the response. Yes, I had figured on having to buy a paper copy, actually prefer a paper copy at this point. I was just hoping someone might have a used one for sale. I have been watching eBay but no joy.

The thing that bothers me about the "local" dealer is that I they do not seem to want to be bothered by the individual owners, even the parts department. I sent them an email through their website and never heard back. I called them and asked if they could get the manuals and how much they would cost and they said they would look it up and get back to me, 2 weeks ago. To make it worse, the same company owns all the dealers in Michigan so I can't even go somewhere else.

I guess I will keep looking on eBay.

Regards,
Greg

More thank likely the operators manual and service manuals for this vintage truck are only available in paper form.
Suggestions:
1. Communicate with the parts department - sales types & service types and others tyoes too want you to buy what they are directly selling - equipment & service maintenance & repairs. Parts people want to sell parts and most orders for manual goes through the parts department.
2. If that doesn't work with this dealer try another dealer go to the Clark website for dealer locator clarkmhc dot com - replace the "dot" with a "." & eliminate any open (white) spaces.
3. No matter who you order it from you will more than like pay for shipping & handling in addition to the manual price, it may be to your advantage to not request quick delivery like overnite. Let your order come in on their next stock order placement with their parts depot. You will also pay for shipment cost to you from the ordering dealer unless you want to personally pick it up - you will need to drive 160 miles round trip or burn about $35 to $50 of fuel if you vehicle gets 20 mpg.

Fact of the week
The origin of "love" as the score zero in tennis is debated, but two main theories prevail. One suggests it's derived from the French word "l'oeuf" (egg) which resembles the shape of the number zero. The other proposes it's related to the Dutch word "lof" meaning "honour" as players might be playing for honour when scoreless.
