Komatsu FG25T-16:
Check engine light on and will start to derate

SN 201333/ Machine has a Nissan engine. Check engine light is on. Machine runs great for a few moments but then will start to run at a derate.

What do I need to connect to it to read codes and troubleshoot? Thanks.

Mark if you are reading the blinks correct the code would be 0650 l believe that code is for broken wire to check engine light from dash to ecm. does check engine come on when you turn key on to start truck. If so l would check wiring anyway from dash to ecm make sure the wires have good ohms from dash to computer.the light comes from Inigion through the bulb to ecm for ground. Make sure you have no short on the wires. Hope this helps

Hey Scott, I used your information posted here to obtain codes for a Komatzu lift truck with Nissan 2.1 liter LPG. The check engine blinked 10 times slowly then 6 times, 5 times, 10 times (all quickly) the whole sequence started over. Can you help me out with what this means?

I read your post l will help you first if you do not have code reader and cable to hook to truck the only way to read codes is to go through the gas
pedal as long as it is not the problem.first you have to turn key to on position with out starting then count 3seconds after that hit gas pedal down 5time within 5seconds than take foot off pedal count 7seconds than hold petal down untill light starts to blink codes than take foot off pedal and write down codes the codes are all 4digits but if a code has a zero in it the blinks will be ten blinks in a row when all codes are finished four ten blinks will be in a row note to do the pedal it takes a lot of practice l would use stop watch if does not work just turn key off and try again it might take you a little time to get it it's all on timing with no errors after you get codes get back to me l will try to tell you what it is and how to try to fix it. good luck.
