Discussion:
changing lift chains & wiring loom

Hi, we have a Crown Wav which requires the lift chains, wiring loom & mast guides changed. Can anyone assist with the simplest way of doing this please?
As you are aware, the chains are internally fitted, as is the wiring loom in the mast.

How do you change the cables? It's never been easy for me.

If you are referring to the mast cables then you must do a complete disassembly. There is no quick fix. It is a difficult job and I recommend two people.

Fact of the week
The origin of "love" as the score zero in tennis is debated, but two main theories prevail. One suggests it's derived from the French word "l'oeuf" (egg) which resembles the shape of the number zero. The other proposes it's related to the Dutch word "lof" meaning "honour" as players might be playing for honour when scoreless.
