Discussion:
CAT - NISSAN- IMPACT

So what's the news?
The rumours are that IMPACT is taking the CAT dealership, is this true? If this is the case then what will happen to NISSAN?

How will IMPACT deal with the change in products having just converted customers to NISSAN from TOYOTA.?

Am sure it will be testing times to promote the truck that is only CAT by badge. Am sure I recall that the CAT engine/elec C/B trucks are MITSUBISHI and the Warehouse kit is ROCLA, can this work for IMPACT?

No announcement yet as MCFE are trying to build a national sales team for Impact by offering six figure salaries to key Briggs sales people to jump ship and take some of the key Briggs accounts with them to Impact.
I even hear that they have aproached some ex Briggs/lEX people to come on board.
MCFE are obviously sore at Briggs walking out on them and are intent in causing Briggs as much disruption as possible.
I doubt though if any of the Briggs team have the courage to leave.

Makes me laugh , all the Impact customers seem to have picked up on the CAT thing but still no formal press release from Impact. One thing is for sure all the Briggs customers will have been told and informed in person by Briggs.... Why do I think Impact may make a grab for the Briggs accounts ( That would be playing with fire , its that ex LEX blood that still flows in Briggs vains that will grab you by the BOL10KS)

so are impact taking on Cat. What's the point Mits will kill them with the same truck at a lower price why pay Cat prices when you can save paying Mitsy prices. Some one needs to wake up and wake up quite quickly while there is still a business there. Nissan Must be laughing levees them open to go direct through Atlet. Nissan have a close working relationship with Mitsy so i wonder if they have pull a couple of strings to get out of the Impact Deal.

It makes sense to only concentrate on one brand. Mitsubishi inherited the cat dealer network with leaverton so now is the best opportunity to drop the cat brand and put all there work into Mitsubishi. Rushlift are all ready Mitsubishi dealers so they can move trucks into other areas if they want. So why would they want to take the risk of Cat that is the same but more expensive. Impact are desperate for a brand Nissan sell under Atlet and can under cut them. Impact need a truck to compete but can't find a good one so in desperation they have had to look at Cat. Give it six Month and they will be looking into the market again to find another brand

hmmm, I hear the deal's done. UK coverage is what Impact have been aiming for and don't think the Nissan Dealers will be sorry to them go.

Fact of the week
A 1904 lecture by scientist Elie Metchnikoff extolled the benefits of consuming yoghurt for halting the "intestinal putrefaction" which he believed causes aging. The press reported yoghurt as a cure for aging and the ensuing popularity is still with us today.
