Carriage drops when powering up

Hi, I have a EASi 40TT , unit is in good nick, but the carriage drops straight after being raised, then after half a second stops (abruptly).

Also if you raise the carriage then power off the machine, wait, then re-start, the carriage drops to the floor while the unit is going through its learn cycle. Any suggestions as to the cause.

Bluetooth is named after the 10th-century Viking king, Harald Bluetooth, who united warring tribes in Denmark and Norway. In 1997, Jim Kardach from Intel gave the name to the technology because of its ability to unite different communication protocols, just as Harald united various tribes.
