Discussion:
Can Key

I'm trying to change the tiller arm switch to a different type, my standard can key will let me change some things but not this. Does this need a different can key or do you know why I cant change this function?

Hi thanks for your input, the truth is this truck has been sat at the back of our workshop for a year or more after being tipped over. Now we cant guarantee the handle has not been swapped whilst its been parked up. That said yes it does have the parameter to change switch type, it also has several other relevant parameters that I cant change. I think my next move is to see how much a new card is.

The change of type of tiller arm switch was a new feature in newer software packages - does the software package installed in the head card of the truck actually have the parameter required listed?

Why are you trying to change the type of switch on this truck? Whats the full story of the truck? head card? switch?

Older trucks had a mechanical type switch fitted but these can cause issues / break as the truck ages / wear & tear.

Later trucks have an inductive switch & once set up never cause any issues.

A brand new programed head card would come with the parameter set for an inductive switch as default.

Fact of the week
In 1923, French tennis player René Lacoste was promised a crocodile leather suitcase by his captain if he won his next match. He lost the match but won the nickname "the crocodile" which he had sown onto his tennis attire. Ten years later he launched the first polo shirt and Lacoste, the first brand to feature a logo on its clothing.
