C500-60 just got yesterday...have one question

As a prior c500-45 owner I am very familiar with clark trucks...however, the one I got yesterday is newer than mine. It has the one lever on the right side of the wheel that controls everything on the mast. It goes up, in, and out just fine...but it goes down slower than a 7 year itch lol. Looks to me like something is worn out in the shaft that it pulls on. Is this a common problem? You have to push the lever down, but its on a pivot and it actually pulls a rod up through the inside of another one. Any ideas?

The bubbles are common and is just compression pushing past the plug. It might stop by tightening the plug a bit. Denso L14U is the plug. Also great advice on your lowering problem. Often after I loosen the Allen head bolts on the clamp on the steering column I will put some Red Loctite beneath the clamp before tightening up.

Ok thanks! I will check that out tonight. I do have two other issues now...it gets really hot in a matter of minutes...boiled out some coolent last night. So I washed it off and noticed that I had gotten the head wet and there was water around the spark plugs....and it was bubbling around 4 of the 6 while it was running. Anyone know what kinda plugs its supposed to take? It has a Autolite 45 right now.

Yes that's a common problem. That clamp that holds the whole linkage to the steering column may have slipped out of adjustment (2 allen head bolts half way down the column). Try loosening it and sliding it up to take up any free play. It is just a matter of adjustment. There should be a panel in the front part of the machine (4 bolts) to access adjustments also.
