If the connection to / or the LID itself is faulty the truck wont move even in limp home mode.
You can only disable the LID with BT TruckCom diagnostic software.
There is a known issue with the broken solder joints & BT have already fixed it in production.
On an early RRE like this im 99% certain you will find a broken solder joint on the LID connector plug / PCB connection that is easily fixed with a soldering iron, sticking the plastic part of the connector to the PCB will stop it from happening again in the future.
Thanks so much for the information that we have received.
I think are more than sufficient.
All the information that I have is the information received from the client
Tomorrow gonna go to the client and try to fix the problem(It is in a remote location and have to drive 3 hours)
Regards
Cristian
Hi
Unplug the LID, remove the torx 25 screw & take the LID of the truck.
Remove the 4 x torx 10 screws & lift of the LID back cover.
Remove the 3 x torx 10 screws & lift the PCB out the housing.
The big black connector on the left, you will find 1 or more of the solder joints broken on the front face of the PCB, reflow the 4 solder joints.
I stick the black connector housing to the PCB with silicone or glue to.stop it flexing.
Have a look, im pretty sure it will cure your RRE.
The full error code is 1:516
Yes ,this truck have LID
It would also be helpful to know which software version the truck is running as certain error codes have been deleted / added / changed during the RRE's software history.
Truck OFF
Press the I button
It should then display the truck serial number, the hour meter reading & also the software package installed which is 260038 - ****
Its the **** part of the number I really need to know to help further.
Has the truck got the LID ( Load Information Display ) hanging from the roof?
Error codes on the RRE Reflex are 4 digit X : ****
Whats the full error code?
Will the truck drive / operate in limp home mode?
Truck switched OFF
Press the I button
Press the GREEN button
Truck should now start up in limp home mode, see if it allows you drive / operate it.
ONLY if its got software version 10 or newer installed you will also need the pin code / key / keyfob the truck to start it.
Do you have a BT can service key as these allow you in to the diagnostic / service hidden menus of the truck.
I look after a fleet of RRE's & they very rarely give any trouble, not had one breakdown for a few months.
Apart from service time they never seem to be in the workshop.
