Dear Forum friends.
You are right, in the past few days our forums have been the target of an avalanche of posts by a group of users who have the sole intention to spread their web links all through our forums.

Today alone we had to delete up to 150 posts and block the 12 accounts responsible for the mess.

Our system has a number of 'tricks' to block these people and these posts... Of course any spammer can keep making new accounts in order to keep going...

We are vigilant and will keep working on this. We have contacted these users and managed to talk to 2 of them and requested they abort their actions.
Tomorrow we will fine tune the system filters to make it harder for them to continue...

We are confident their strategy is not working. It has definately not made you or I appreciate their company, business or products.

Please keep sending us your notices and we will act promptly (our apologies for the current delay: we have a very valuable colleague out of action due to sickness).

Thank you Forkliftaction friends, we hope you keep enjoying Forkliftaction.com and we keep reading your posts.

KIND REGARDS TO ALL

I think we may find "hero_c" to also be "bay_a's twin" or "cubical partner". I have found that if we just hit the "report this message" link at the bottom of the posts in question, the folks in Australia at forkliftaction.com will 'fix' the posts and posters in question. there is plenty of moderation in these forums, it's just that not all the folks with moderation privileges are in the same time and holiday zones as others of us reading here.
If anyone has ever tried running their own on-line forum, you would know how difficult it is to stop the UCP (unsolicited commercial postings) while not blocking entire countries or continents.
At least here, it is slowed down to a point that it requires real people and real people's time rather than an "bot".

It seems that some one in China thinks they can just block the forum by changing name and spoil genuine threads. Forklift action need to take action or there will be no one genuine left. Shame really but there goes. leave it a couple of weeks see what happens

a a, b b, thanks and bay a are all the same and should be told to stop spamming this site, like forkingabout as said these people are idiots and spoil it for genuine threads.
There should be a filtering system on here to stop this kind of use on the site, so spam is erased.

A good engineer is a helpful engineer
Ive reported bay a twice in the last week for spamming the forum.

Idiots like this really ruin forums for decent people as some will see loads of spam jamming up the board & will just not bother posting anymore.
