Discussion:
Battery drain when using lift

I've got a Raymond EASI R35TT which started having issues with battery drain recently. When you charge the battery, I get a full charge and can drive the unit, side shift it, tilt everything but lift. As soon as I energize the lift feature, the motor bogs down and quits. Shortly after that I get an error code 45.
Also, when the lift grinds to a halt I get a very strong sulphur smell. It only happens when using the lift, otherwise nothing. Anyone seen this one before?

Thanks. I think I figured it out. The battery was shorting to the frame. Cleaned it up, eliminated the contact, charged it and it seems to be working fine. Thanks for your help

lift takes more amperage than anything else. what is the batteries real state of charge, how much does it drop from "at rest" voltage (at the battery cables) to 3 seconds stall with hydraulic lift at maximum lift height and handle full on.

The word "robotics" was coined by Russian-born American science-fiction writer Isaac Asimov who first used the word in 1942 in his short story 'Runabout'. He characterised robots as helpful servants and as "a better, cleaner race."
