It seems a lot of the opinions are from people that have never used the machines, I have been using them now for a few years and am quite happy with the results, and am on the second machine. I am not trying to promote a certain brand but can confirm these systems are not for shorted batteries or damaged cells, just to eliminate sulfation in a quick efficient manner with out adding anything to the acid and without creating a huge amount of heat and battery damage. most of you are completely correct to say that the best way to prevent the sulfation is to service the batteries correctly, unfortunately no one ever does, and that keeps us all in business, just like properly servicing a forklift will help prevent breakdowns.

if you provide me with your e-mail id i could send you some reports showing and proving that some technologies do work. However i totally agree with you that proper battery maintenance will prevent a lot of problems but we all know that that doesn't happen.

This is a good topic of battery. It is really a good product.

After all those years,it's likely to have other damage beyond sulfation, especially if you are talking a 'tubular' product.

You're better off getting scrap value and applying to a used battery. By the time you spend money with these 'sav-a-batt' white knight battery saviours, you would have been money ahead.

reviving an old thread but i have a new never used enersys 12-85-13 that has been sitting since 2007 or 2008 probably without any charge maintenance since new.
will operated the truck about 30seconds until the low volt light comes on.
is there any hope for this thing or any desulfate chrgers or products that could revive it even if for only 2 or 3 hour run time?

The trick to removing sulphation IS deep cycling of the battery. This forces sulphation out off of the plates and softens them enough so they can be discharged to capacity. What I see here is nothing new.

Dear Replus, I am familiar with Energic Plus, Zulu and some, but not all of the other products you mentioned earlier. Are you installing pulses on the batteries as well? Chemicals? I too am very interested in any honest accounting in this field. By the way, on Thursday we returned a 36 volt, 825AH spill proof - maintenance free GNB with a final efficiency of 89%. A perfect candidate for rejuvenation, the warranty for this battery had recently elapsed and it was only giving them a shaky quarter shift with 49% EFF. It required 5 cycles of our system and a few drops of distilled to achieve a full 40% increase in EFF. The highly productive, double shift produce co. in question is ecstatic to get a battery back that will endure an entire shift GUARANTEED by us over the next year, rather than forking over the cash to replace it. Do not fear, manufacturers. The new battery market will hardly perceive our humble tinkering. Sales reps on the other hand may eventually want to expand their bag of wares.
