Discussion:
acceleration-potentiometer-driving

model H30D serial H2X393T01644. I received this Linde H30D diesel at no cost. Secured starter that was hanging by one bolt, installed a new battery. Unit fired up but had no travel. Come to find out, the potentiometer was taken out. Probably to use on another unit in their fleet. Installed a new one. Must this be calibrated by software? I have been a tech for 14 years but have never serviced a Linde. Seems to be a great machine. I am currently learning about the hydrostatics. Problem is it seems as though the "brakes" are dragging. I understand that upon acceleration the brakes are released and then applied when decelerating. It has single accel and brake pedal. Hopefully it is a simple service call for calibration.

Thanks for reply Lindetech. All is good. You were correct. No brake drag, just a lack of knowledge on my part. Thanks again.

Pedals will need to be calibrated once a new pot has been fitted to the pedal assembly.
Brake drag I would be checking that you are maintaining a steady pressure on the BR port of the brake valve.
More likely It may just feel slow due to the pedal pot not being calibrated or the travel speed has been slowed via laptop.

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
