RPEM/RMH '02

The organisers state that the trade show and conference are designed to provide a forum for local engineering and material handling professionals to explore the wide range of products and services available to keep their operations running efficiently and will also feature the 1st Annual RMH Forklift Rally.
Competitors from distribution and warehousing operations from all over Northern Nevada and the Sacramento area will participate in the rally. The competition will test their precision and judgment while demonstrating their safety skills. They will be judged on their steering, maneuvering, driving, lifting, stacking, and unstacking skills.

Fact of the week
US Congress instituted a "debt ceiling" in 1917 to make it easier to finance mobilization efforts in World War I, while managing the budget. Before that, Congress generally had to authorize each bond issue. The debt ceiling was raised at least 90 times in the 20th century. The last raise occurred this year in June.
