Intermodal Africa 2024 We are delighted to announce the 31st edition of Intermodal Africa, the largest annual Container Ports, Shipping and Transport Logistics Exhibition and Conference in Africa. Hosted by NAMPORT and officially endorsed by the Port Management Association of Eastern and Southern Africa (PMAESA) and the Association of Indian Ocean Islands Ports (L'Association des ports des îles de l'océan Indien (APIOI), this prestigious event will take place from Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 February 2024 at the Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre, the most luxurious hotel in Swakopmund, Namibia.

The conference will feature two days of top-tier transportation and logistics conference speakers addressing topical issues and challenges in global and regional trade and investment. The gathering will include 350 senior government officials, industry principals, academics, senior executive harbour masters, harbour engineers, port engineers, maintenance supervisors, and procurement decision makers. Additionally, we are expecting the region's leading shippers, cargo owners, importers/exporters, shipping lines, freight forwarders, logistics companies, ports, terminal operating companies, railway operators, port equipment and services suppliers from countries throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) to be in attendance.

Brothers Adolf ("Adi") and Rudolf ("Rudi") Dassler split their shoe company after WWII due to a bitter feud, and established the rival companies of Adidas and Puma. Their personal animosity and business rivalry divided their German hometown Herzogenaurach. The town became known as "the town of bent necks" due to the intense loyalty to each brand.
