Speaker: Andrew Adam, Chief Executive Officer of Oceania at DP World Asia Pacific


Andrew manages the overall business strategy for both Australia and New Zealand. He has over two decades of experience in developing corporate strategy, managing multi-faceted stakeholder relationships, and implementing business improvement initiatives for the logistics and supply chain sector. Andrew first joined DP World in 1999 as Group Industrial Relations Manager for the then-P&O Ports in Australia. In 2007, he assumed a global role as Senior Vice President for Global Operations. In 2013, he joined Pacific National, Australia's largest private rail freight operator, as its Executive General Manager (Intermodal) and later, President, Freight. In this capacity, he managed 50 freight terminals and linehaul depots across the country. Andrew returned to DP World in 2019 as COO of Terminals in Australia. In this role, he was responsible for achieving more than US$600 million in annual revenue and managed more than 1,600 employees across the country. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of DP World Australia overseeing the company's operating divisions: Ports & Terminals and Logistics. Under his leadership, DP World Australia has expanded its footprint into logistics including freight forwarding and logistics solutions delivery as well as implementing increased margins and significant productivity enhancements.
