National Forklift Safety Day - USA

United States, Various - 9th June 2015
Because Safety Matters

National Forklift Safety Day, sponsored by the Industrial Truck Association (ITA), is designated to be a day of discussion and awareness about forklift safety best practices.

?Forklift safety is important to our industry and everywhere forklifts are used,? said ITA President Brian Feehan. ?National Forklift Safety Day gives us an opportunity to continue our commitment to safety and operator training.?

National Forklift Safety Day serves as a focal point for forklift manufacturers to highlight the safe use of forklifts and the importance of operator training. It also provides an opportunity for the industry to educate customers, policymakers and the Administration.

?National Forklift Safety Day is an opportunity for forklift manufacturers, dealers and operators to come together with a common goal,? said National Forklift Safety Day Chairman and Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A. President Jeff Rufener. ?By reinforcing some basic safety procedures such as operator training and daily equipment checks, we can greatly reduce accidents and
overall downtime.?

Forklift Manufacturers will commemorate National Forklift Safety Day in Washington, D.C., and local forklift dealers will sponsor events throughout the country.

TVH in the Americas and Forklift manufacturers from around the United States will be celebrating National Forklift Safety Day on June 9, 2015.
