Crane & Rigging / Industrial Crane & Hoist Conferences

United States, New Orleans - 23rd and 24th May 2012
The jointly-held Crane & Rigging Conference and Industrial Crane & Hoist Conference (CRC/ICHC), hosted by MCM Events, moves to a new venue in 2012. The two-day safety management conference will be held May 23-24, 2012 in New Orleans, La.

The two-day conference is geared for safety managers, crane and rigging supervisors, plant managers, and risk management personnel. New this year, attendees can choose from two educational tracts. ICHC sessions will discuss topics relevant to users of overhead cranes inside plants or heavy industrial environments. CRC sessions will be of interest to users of mobile and tower cranes working in construction environments. In addition, several joint sessions focusing on training techniques, accident trends, and rigging inspection and proper use promise something for everyone.

Fact of the week
Bluetooth is named after the 10th-century Viking king, Harald Bluetooth, who united warring tribes in Denmark and Norway. In 1997, Jim Kardach from Intel gave the name to the technology because of its ability to unite different communication protocols, just as Harald united various tribes.
