CeMAT INDIA will be held at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida alongside four other trade fairs: MDA INDIA, Surface INDIA, Industrial Automation INDIA and Laser INDIA. Together, the five fairs feature a broad range of exhibits from worldwide suppliers of intralogistics technology, power transmission and control systems, surface treatment systems, industrial automation solutions and laser technology.

The word "robotics" was coined by Russian-born American science-fiction writer Isaac Asimov who first used the word in 1942 in his short story 'Runabout'. He characterised robots as helpful servants and as "a better, cleaner race."
