Vix Logística SA ordered 13 Kalmar-brand forklifts - nine DCF300 and four DCF420 models - from a unit of Cargotec Oyj.
Deliveries to the Brazilian logistics firm are scheduled in September.
"Brazil is one of the fastest-growing forklift truck markets in the world and constitutes a key focus for Cargotec's business development plans," says Thomas Malmborg, Cargotec vice president for forklifts.
Vix Logística is based in the Goiabeiras neighborhood of Vitória in the state of Espirito Santo and operates in logistics, chauffeured transportation services, vehicle transport and charters. The vehicle transport segment relocates newly manufactured vehicles, including those assembled in plants in Argentina, for delivery to dealers in Brazil.
Currently, Cargotec in Brazil has a service agreement with Vix Logística. Two Cargotec technicians work full-time at Vix, with responsibility for maintenance of three Kalmar DCF450-12 models that were delivered in January.
With the upcoming deliveries, more technicians are likely to be added to the agreement, according to Cargotec.
Kalmar F-generation heavy-duty forklifts have lifting capacities with a range of 18-52 T.
Helsinki, Finland-based Cargotec manufactures cargo and load handling equipment under the Hiab, Kalmar and MacGregor brands.
