Vandals broke into the Livingston depot of Finning (UK) Ltd and set fire to four forklifts in its short-term rental fleet.
A Finning spokesperson said the estimated damage was about GBP35,000. "Thankfully this is a rare occurrence for Finning."
Finning (UK), a division of Finning International Inc, is the national Caterpillar dealer for Great Britain.
