The third annual ARA Insurance Services/National Equipment Register Award will be presented at a ceremony at the Rental Show in Atlanta from February 7 to February 10, 2007.

The award, established by the American Rental Association (ARA), ARA Insurance Services and the National Equipment Register (NER), recognises a law enforcement officer or agent who has served the rental industry exceptionally through rental equipment recovery or theft prevention initiatives.

The ARA Insurance Services/NER Award winner will receive:
* VIP guest status at the Rental Show,
* Complimentary travel to and from the show and accommodation,
* A commemorative plaque, and
* A USD1,000 grant to his/her department to support equipment theft investigations.
Email NER (gsider@NERusa.com) a brief summary of your nominee's accomplishments in 2006, plus his/her rank and agency, by December 31, 2006.

Nominees can be law enforcement officers or civilian support personnel. A five-person panel of NER and ARA management will decide the winner.

Around 700 equipment manufacturers and suppliers will exhibit at the Rental Show at the Georgia World Congress Centre, Atlanta. Materials handling companies participating include Komatsu Forklift USA, JLG Industries, Manitou North America, Mustang Manufacturing Co and Terex.
