Materials Handling EURASIA will become a CEMAT event |
Turkey's Materials Handling EURASIA trade fair has been renamed as CeMAT EURASIA.
The rebrand, according to Wolfgang Pech, senior vice president at Deutsche Messe, is part of CeMAT's global brand management strategy.
"We have been staging Materials Handling EURASIA as part of WIN EURASIA Automation for the past 15 years, and with great success. Over this period, we have succeeded in turning Materials Handling EURASIA into the leading intralogistics trade fair for the entire region. We are now building on this success in the shape of CeMAT EURASIA," he explains.
CeMAT EURASIA 2017 will be held from 16 to 19 March as part of WIN EURASIA Automation in Istanbul - an event which features a total of 1,500 exhibitors in some 30,000 sqm of space, making it Turkey's largest industrial exhibition.
CeMAT EURASIA is supported both by the Association for Materials Handling and Intralogistics within VDMA (the German Engineering Federation) and the Turkish intralogistics association, ISDER. Both organisations expressed their enthusiasm over having a future CeMAT event in Turkey. "CeMAT is the world's leading platform for intralogistics and supply chain management. Attaching this label to the Istanbul-based trade fair is proof of the event's quality and reputation throughout the region," says Sascha Schmel, managing director of the VDMA's Materials Handling and Intralogistics Association.
Deutsche Messe AG, based in Hannover, is a leading global trade fair organiser, and CeMAT is one of its cornerstone offerings.
The next CeMAT show will be held from 31 May to 3 June 2016 in Deutsche Messe's home town.
