Taylor Machine Works is an authorised dealer for Rail King

Stewart & Stevenson has named Taylor Machine Works (TMW) as an authorised dealer for Rail King mobile railcar mover products.

The appointment covers select areas of Virginia and Texas as well as the entire state of Florida.

Robert Taylor, TMW vice president of operations, is excited to enter the railcar mover market in partnership with Rail King. "We look forward to providing this top-quality product through sales, service and rentals," he says. "Since our customers are our number one priority, we will be diligent to provide a great experience in this market."

Rail King, developed in 1990, is now in its sixth generation and provides up to 50,000 lb. (22,500 kg) of tractive effort.

Rail King supports railcar switching operations throughout North America and overseas. It is part of the 100-year-old Stewart & Stevenson company's line-up of specialised equipment. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Stewart & Stevenson provides equipment and service to the global market from a strategic network of sales and service centres in domestic and international locations.

TMW, located in Louisville, Mississippi, is one of the only privately held manufacturers of industrial lift trucks operating in America. It is supported by Sudden Service, Inc., the exclusive distributor of genuine Taylor OEM parts and forklift services, which will also provide service for the Rail King products.
