TICO grows overseas News Story - 6 Jun 2013 ( #619 ) - Nagoya, Japan 1 min read Toyota Industries Corp (TICO) wants to boost sales overseas by expanding its leasing business.The leading forklift manufacturer plans to establish a leasing subsidiary in Queretaro, Mexico this month. The company, with a JPY300 million (USD3 million) capital, will be TICO's third forklift financing subsidiary, joining operations in Sweden and the US.TICO says the Swedish unit will also open a branch office in France for its leasing business.Leases made up more than half of the estimated 180,000 forklifts TICO sold globally in 2012. The company is aiming to sell 192,000 forklifts this year, a 7% increase from last year. This would be near the record 192,693 forklifts it sold in 2007.
