The Battery Show Europe is back from May 18 - 20, 2021 at the Messe Stuttgart in Germany.

Its growth has been phenomenal. Brad Gibson, Global Business Director at LORD said it best after attending the 2019 trade fair, "It's actually been amazing. We've been a part of this since its inception, and we watched it grow from the 50 people displaying [merchandise] all the way up to this year, where they have sold out." The 2020 edition stands to be the biggest yet, with over 100 more exhibitors than last year and a second hall to explore at the Messe Stuttgart. It's co-located with the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo Europe, and together the events present the opportunity for 10,000+ battery manufacturing and automotive professionals to meet with over 550 suppliers to learn about the latest technology and industry innovations, gain high-quality education, and to network with peers, leaders and visionaries at the leading meeting place for the industry. Exhibitors at the free to attend trade fair range from startups to industry leaders such as 3M, Voltabox and Williams Advanced Engineering.

One of the main attractions is the three-day educational conference that runs alongside the trade show, featuring speakers from top manufacturers who will be covering topics crucial to every stage of the advanced battery supply chain, as well as the latest advances in EV technology.

Sessions like "Battery Pack Design & Impacts on Efficiency," "Latest Developments in Next Generation Batteries & Solid-State Battery Technology," and "The Future of Electric Vehicles in a Rapidly Changing Industry" uncover the newest breakthroughs. "What is good about this conference," says Marcin Seredynski, Head of Research and Innovation at Volvo's e-bus competence centre, "is you have a lot of experts - technical experts, not the experts in LinkedIn and handshaking, but really those guys who have the core knowledge."
