Bolzoni Auramo big tire clamp: safety first.

Material handling activity is so complex and diversified that both machinery and attachment manufacturers are constantly studying and investing on new handling solutions.

Bolzoni Auramo's task is to come up with new models design and to cover the variety of possible applications, taking on your material handling challenge.

New challenge: new opportunity

This is the case we faced with our customer Magni Telehandlers Srl. The telehandler manufacturer required an attachment for an end-user who needed to first handle and then assemble / disassemble tires on their earth moving machines.

In fact, when fitted with a dedicated attachment, a telehandler becomes a highly versatile piece of construction equipment.

With a maximum lifting capacity of 6.000 kg (center of gravity 600 mm) and a maximum lifting height 19,2 m, the TH 6.20 Magni telescopic handler has been equipped with a Bolzoni Auramo special attachment, that allows to safely pick and carry very heavy tires. To best position the load, the telehandler is equipped with side shifting function.

Big tire, tiny problem

This especially robust construction clamp has a 360-degree rotating function, with a 6 ton capacity @ 600 mm.

Taking advantage of the 90-degree forward tippling movement of the telehandler, the clamp is able to switch the tire position from horizontal to vertical. The continuous 360-degree rotation is very useful in order to center the wheel pin during the disassembly / assembly tire operations.

The clamp has 1500 mm long forks with spikes all over the surface, in order to grant the maximum handling safety.

Two models are available in the Bolzoni Auramo range: capacity 6 tons @ 600mm and 4 tons @ 500 mm; the maximum tires diameter is of 3000 mm.
