STILL recently opened a regional service centre in Brno, Czech Republic to supply customers in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland and Austria.
This is the intralogistics supplier's response to current and future market needs in the spare parts area.
The central location ensures that spare parts are available in the shortest possible time and are delivered from a single warehouse.
According to STILL, orders placed by 4.0 pm will be delivered overnight in the STILL technician's customer service truck. This improved availability strengthens the existing service structure in the region and increases the performance efficiency of STILL's service function.
The new centre has five employees, led by Thomas Schramm, vice president parts support, who describes the initiative as "the most important spare parts project in recent years".
So far, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary have been integrated into the system and Austria and Poland will follow soon.
"We are planning for the future here. We must create the starting point for a future spare parts logistics system and its network design," says Schramm.
