The new battery was on display at the HIRE24 trade show at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition CentreRoypow has debuted its new anti-freeze lithium forklift battery for material handling in cold environments.
The battery maker says its anti-freeze power solutions overcome the power challenges, such as capacity loss and performance degradation in cold environments, that affect traditional lead-acid batteries.
Each battery module has internal thermal insulation material to prevent thermal runaway and rapid cooling, as well as a pre-heating function.
The batteries give premium performance and safety in temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius.
Along with the features of its standard forklift batteries, including up to 10 years of design life, fast and opportunity charging capability and a built-in fire extinguishing system, Roypow says its anti-freeze solutions guarantee enhanced reliability and availability and fewer swapping or maintenance requirements.
This ultimately lowers the total cost of ownership for material handling businesses.
