Riwal's Pedro Torres with JLG's Karel Huijser |
Riwal has been appointed by JLG as its distributor for Norway.
Karel Huijser, JLG European regional vice president and managing director, says: "We are excited to extend our partnership with Riwal in Norway. Their presence in the country and knowledge of the market will contribute to further growth of our products and service in the region."
As the distributor for the region, Riwal will be responsible for sales, marketing, training and after sales service for the full range of JLG aerial work platforms. Riwal will serve customers such as rental companies as well as end users in construction, manufacturing and logistics.
Pedro Torres, CEO of Riwal, notes that his company last year marked its 25th anniversary as an official JLG distributor. "This long-lasting partnership resulted in having extensive expertise with the JLG brand in our rental fleet," he adds.
"These dealerships have enabled us to become one of the leaders in AWP equipment in ... the Netherlands, Poland, Kazakhstan and the Balkan countries. Our highly motivated teams in the Nordics will be able to significantly develop the local access equipment business; there is a lot of potential as the purchase of new equipment is increasingly common alongside the purchase of traditionally used equipment."
Jesper Becker, Riwal equipment sales manager in the Nordics, says: "With the official dealership of JLG in Norway and the opportunity to offer our customers the full range of products from the world's leading manufacturer, we look forward to strengthening the market position for JLG and Riwal in Norway. With great enthusiasm, we will be working as a full-service partner for both our existing customers and all new customers."
Dutch-headquartered Riwal is an international rental and sales specialist of aerial work platforms, telehandlers and power generators, with over 2.500 staff at 70 depot operations in 16 countries.
