LogiMAT 2017 attracted more than 50,000 visitors
LogiMAT 2017, the 15th International Trade Fair for Distribution, Materials Handling and Information Flow, wrapped up last week after breaking previous records for exhibitor and visitor numbers and exhibition space.

According to organisers, LogiMAT 2017 attracted more than 50,000 visitors.

"Following the fantastic result of last year, where we had a 25% rise in visitor numbers, this additional increase in double-digit percentages was not necessarily expected," says Peter Kazander, managing director of EUROEXPO Messe- und Kongress-GmbH, Munich.

Kazander says visitor numbers rose 15.4% this year to 50,187.

Exhibitor numbers were up 8.1% on last year at 1,384, with almost one in four of exhibitors from outside Germany. Exhibition space was stretched to 102,100 sqm, with all eight halls at the exhibition centre booked out last autumn.

Next year, the event will be further extended when the 15,000 sqm Hall 10 is added.

This year's event was again staged alongside TradeWorld, which had 173 exhibitors.

The next LogiMAT will be held in Nanjing, China from 20-22 June this year, and the event returns to Stuttgart from 13-15 March 2018.
