Past winners of the FLTA Annual Awards for Excellence with their trophies and plaques.
A record number of products and services from 19 companies from across the globe have been shortlisted by the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) to compete in its Annual Awards for Excellence 2011.

Twenty-seven entries will vie to win in the categories of Environment, Ergonomics, Safety and Innovation compared to 20 finalists the previous year (Forkliftaction.com News #441).

FLTA chairman Martyn Fletcher says the awards have always been a showcase of the industry's highest achievers. "This year's finalists, our official pick of the year, represent the companies (which) have demonstrated innovation, a genuine understanding of their customers' requirements and excellence in their particular field.

"Each has made a significant contribution to raising standards in the materials handling industry, which is the very aim of the awards themselves," Fletcher continues.

He urges people to vote to recognise the efforts of the companies, and to determine which products are the most deserving.

Voting for Awards 2011 is now open. The public voting will take place exclusively online, enabling the FLTA to ensure that only valid votes are counted. All materials handling equipment users are encouraged to vote. That includes all who own or hire forklifts, those who manage, supervise or train forklift operators, and the operators themselves, whose first-hand experience makes them the most discerning judges of all.

To cast your vote online, visit www.fork-truck.org.uk/awards. The last day to vote is Wednesday, 12 January 2011.
