Dylan O'Keeffe will compete in the Australia Forklift ChampionshipAustralian racing driver Dylan O’Keeffe, who competes in the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Series aboard the Dexion Porsche Cup car, will take part in the Australia Forklift Championship at CeMAT Australia in July.
Though best-known for his sporting success, which includes two class wins in the Bathurst 12 Hour and five starts in the Bathurst 1000, O’Keeffe is also a licensed forklift driver.
By competing in the event and bringing his driving skills to the warehouse, he is demonstrating that precision and safety are paramount whether navigating a racetrack or manoeuvring a forklift in a warehouse environment.
“On the track, split-second decisions and precision are critical, but safety always comes first,” says O’Keeffe. “The same applies in a warehouse – operating a forklift demands focus, control, and strict adherence to safety standards to prevent accidents and ensure efficiency.”
Held from July 22 -24, the Australian Forklift Championships are designed to showcase the technical expertise of some of Australia’s most skilled forklift operators.
For the first time, this year’s competition will include not just corporate teams but also single-entrant qualifiers, with the latter competing for the opportunity to earn their place on the official CeMAT Australia Team.
In addition, the winners in both the individual and corporate categories will be treated to laps in O’Keeffe’s above-mentioned racing car.
